The Gambling Community Benefit Fund uses a percentage of state revenue raised from gaming activities to offer grants of up to $35 000 to assist community organisations throughout Queensland to meet the ongoing demand for their services.

Smart Energy Savings Fund
The $50 million Smart Energy Savings Fund will provide assistance to Queensland businesses to implement energy-efficient technologies in buildings, appliances and industrial processes. The Queensland Government is committed to playing a part in meeting a national greenhouse gas emissions reduction target of 60 per cent below our 2000 levels by 2050. The Smart Energy Savings Fund will contribute to this target, by encouraging Queensland enterprises to use energy more efficiently, thereby reducing their greenhouse emissions.

Educational and Community Kindergarten Grants
As well as targeted and core funding, Education Queensland provides grants for a range of needs, including helping P&C Associations to provide enhancements to school grounds and facilities, providing assistance to parents with a textbook and resource allowance.In terms of kindergarten funding, the Department of Education and Training provides recurrent and capital assistance to community kindergartens affiliated with or approved by the Creche and Kindergarten Association of Queensland (C&K) to supply recognised early education programs for children between the ages of 3.5 - 4.5 years.
